Zoey Kay Yarbrough

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Babygirl, Zoey Kay Yarbrough, who was taken from us too soon on June 9, 2024, at the tender age of 16. Zoey brought immeasurable joy and light into our lives with a kind heart of gold and a smile that could light up any room she entered. Zoey was so much more than just a beautiful face, Zoey was incredibly smart, driven, goal oriented, ambitious, nurturing, witty on her toes and had a knack for making anyone laugh. Zoey had great dreams to travel the world and experience all the things life had to offer. Zoey was incredibly head strong and such a beautiful, vibrant soul that anyone would be blessed to have had the opportunity to be a part of her life, even if for only a moment. 

Though Zoey’s time with us was brief, she left an incredible and powerful impact on so many of our lives. The depth of love and happiness Zoey shared will forever remain in our hearts. 

A service celebrating Zoey Kay Yarbrough’s precious life will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at 2:00 p.m., with a visitation from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., at Emken-Linton Funeral Home, 5100 Emmett F Lowry Expy, Texas City, TX 77591 where friends and family are invited to remember a life that, albeit short, was truly a gift to us all.

Zoey is survived by Lauren McLemore mother, Sean McLemore stepfather, Brixon Powell brother, Lisa Yarbrough Nana, Paul Yarbrough PawPaw, Aaron Hankins uncle, Jessica McGuinness aunt, Patrick McGuinness uncle, Drake Ramos cousin, Maci McGuinness cousin, Michael Mauck Motorcycle PawPaw, Peggy Mauck grandmother, Gracie Jones Zoey’s beloved dog.
