William L. Vanecek, 72, of Texas City, passed away April 1, 2018 at Mainland Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 14th, at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery.
William was born July 13, 1945 in Galveston, TX. He was honorably discharged from the United States Airforce in September 1971. William was a Deputy for the Tiki Island police department, as well as being on the Volunteer fire department. He retired after 37 years of employment from Courtney & Co. as a painter, and was a lifetime member of the Painters & Allied Trades Union.
He is preceded in death by his parents William V. Vanecek, and Florence C. Vanecek.
Survivors include: His daughter, Laura Rodriguez, and husband Mark Rodriguez; daughter Katherine Park, and husband James Park; grandchildren, Shelby N. Vela, Cpl. Conrad Cortes 11, Laura A Cortes, Isaiah M. Park, Harmony A Park, Peyton R. Cortes, Conrad M. Zander Cortes Ill, William R. Park; great grandchildren, Dakota L. Park, Ava
