VERA LEGALLEY WILLIAMS

Vera LeGalley Williams, 85, a longtime resident of Texas City passed away Monday, March 10, 2014 in League City, Texas.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014, at EmkenLinton Funeral Home in Texas City, with Rev. Mike Tyson officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in League City, Texas. Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Williams was born January 16, 1929 in Buffalo, Texas. She was a homemaker, and a member of St. Johns United Methodist Church and a former member of Grace Methodist Church in Texas City. She came to Texas City in 1947 and was a survivor of the Texas City Disaster.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Williams her parents, Rubin Camron LeGalley and Ethal Raines LeGalley.

Survivors include her daughter, Edna Day and husband Danny of Texas City, Texas her son, James Floyd Williams and wife Jane of League City, Texas her granddaughters, Denise and husband Andy, Shelly and husband Scott, Mary and husband Ernest and Sue Beth and husband Rusty eleven great grandchildren and one greatgreat grandchild numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff of Harbourview Care Center and AMed Hospice for their dedication to servicing Mrs. Williams in her final trip home.
