Travis A. Moss, age 88, of Texas City, Texas, passed away peacefully into God's hands on January 12, 2018.
Travis married Clara Frances Lawrence on August 11, 1951. They enjoyed 65 wonderful years together until Clara's passing on June 26, 2016. They settled in Texas City, and began raising their family. Travis also began a 60 plus year career as a general contractor and developer. During this time, he built and sold over 300 homes in Texas City and the surrounding communities. He had a special gift for eyeing a piece of raw land, and recognizing its future potential. As a result, he helped to develop several subdivisions in the area.
Travis was predeceased by his wife, son Timothy Moss, his parents and siblings.
He is survived by sons David (Robin) Moss and Paul (Donna) Moss. He is also survived by grandchildren Duane Moss, Tiffany (Duren) Jenkins, Michelle Moss (Jeremy Kenan), Ashley (Weston) Black, Derek Moss, Kyle (Katie) Moss and Riley Moss; numerous great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson and numerous extended family members.
To celebrate Travis's life, a service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Emken-Linton Funeral Home with Reverend Duane Weis and Reverend Bob Weis officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in League City, Texas. Visitation will precede the service from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Pallbearers will be Doyle Lawrence, Duane Moss, Derek Moss, Kyle Moss, Duren Jenkins and Weston Black.
