Travis (Tab) Billups, Sr., 89, a longtime resident of Texas City passed away Friday in Dickinson.
Funeral services will be at 10 AM Wednesday, March 18, at the Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Tuesday at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City.
Mr. Billups was born on July 17, 1925 in Edna, TX. He was a retired machinist, attended Rice University and served in the US Army from Oct. 20, 1943 to April 6, 1946.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Antha Mae, three sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include his sons; Bobby Billups and wife, Carri David and Tab Billups and wife, Wanda; daughter, Jackie Hershey; grandchildren, Heather Hershey Anderson and husband, Scott, Tabitha Billups Lewton and husband, Lance, and Eric Billups and wife, Serina; great grandchildren, Cody Anderson, Travis Anderson, Paxton Lewton, Phoenix Lewton, Tyson Billups and Reid Billups; sister, Maude Barton and husband, Bob; brother Ed Billups and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers are Bobby Billups, Tab Billups, Eric Billups, Lance Lewton, Scott Anderson and Claude Hollan.
