Tony Garza

Tony Rodriguez Garza, 83, of Texas City, passed away Monday, April 24, 2017.

Funeral mass services will be held 10:30 a.m., Monday, May 1, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church in League City. Burial will follow at Mt Olivet. Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Sunday, April 30, 2017 with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City, Texas.

Tony Garza was born September 2, 1933 in Pearland, Texas. He was an Army Veteran and employed by Pier Point Packers, the Port of Galveston crating division.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Santos and Katie Garza; wife of 59 years, Josephine Lara Garza; son, Anthony Garza; brothers, Leon Almanza, Marcelino Garza, Johnny Garza and Tacho Garza and sister, Lupe Villanueva;

Survivors include sons, John Garza and wife Laura, Richard Garza and wife Lanie, Thomas Garza and wife Johna; daughter, Julia Garza - Vandiver and husband Benton; daughter in law, Renea Garza and numerous grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers are John Garza, Richard Garza, Thomas Garza, Christopher Garza, Matthew Garza and Benton Vandiver.
