Tom Corcoran

Tom Joseph Corcoran walked into his eternity Thursday evening, December 4, 2014, after a brief illness.

He was born July 13, 1921 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, to James and Helen Quinn Corcoran. Tom proudly served in the U.S. Army as a Staff Sergeant during WW2 as a member of the 101st AAA.AW, and was a part of the Asiatic Pacific Campaign in the Philippines. Since that time he has enjoyed his retirement with the love of his life, Hazel Corcoran, and enjoyed activities such as camping in his RV, working in his yard, and working as a Ham Radio Operator. He also became an accomplished groomer for his three poodles, Spanky, Fred and Ginger, who he missed greatly.

In addition to his parents, Tom is predeceased by his brothers, James, John and Edward Corcoran, his in laws, John and Cora Smith, and his children, John and Tommy Corcoran. He is survived by his wife, Hazel, and their children Patricia Jennings, Larry Corcoran, Candy Howard Joe, Karrie Combs Chuck, 10 grandchildren and 18 greatgrandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, December 8, 2014 at EmkenLinton Funeral Home with visitation at 10:00 am and the service to follow at 11:00 am.
