Shannon Hicks

Shannon Marie Hicks, 48, of Mont Belvieu, Texas for 13 years and La Porte, Texas 11 years prior to that, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2019.

Funeral services will be held 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at Emken - Linton Funeral Home in Texas City, Texas. Burial will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas. Visitation will be an hour prior, beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Shannon was born on March 13, 1971 in Lampasas, Texas. She grew up in Pasadena and Deer Park, Texas. She worked at being the greatest mimi, homemaker, wife and mother. She was best known for her love for children and grandchildren, love for animals, a fighting passionate spirit, compassion for family and friends, hanging out at Crystal Beach and country western dancing. Shannon had pride in keeping a clean home and appearance as well as dressing the entire family in clothes and talking on the phone for hours to loved ones. Her greatest joy was being a Mimi!

She is preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Robert Himmel, Jr.; father, James Jim Hicks Jr. and brother Michael Scott Parham and stepsister Carrie Johnson.

Survivors include children, James Colton Hutchins from La Porte, Texas, Stacey Jae Ramirez and husband Roy from La Porte, Texas, Brandon Hall Himmel and wife Lindsay from Oceanside, California, Randa Marie Himmel Warton and spouse Joshua from Baytown, Texas; grandchildren, Kylee and Macie Warton, Jordyn, Roy Jr and Gavin Ramirez; mother, LaVoyce Dean Johnson and husband Vernon from La Porte, Texas, stepmother Shirley Hicks; siblings, Bryan Hicks and wife Joann from Walker, Louisiana, Lori D. Durant and husband Wayne of Cold Springs, Texas, Chris Hicks from Walker, Louisiana, Clint Johnson and wife Amber, siblings in Germany Ronnie Hicks and David Hicks,.
