Samuel Millsaps

Samuel L. Millsaps, Sr., 69, of Santa Fe, TX, passed away December 5, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral services will be held 6:30 PM on Thursday, December 9, 2021, with a visitation from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m., at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City, TX.

Samuel L. Millsaps, Sr. was born September 12, 1952 in Chattanooga, TN. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator at BP Amoco until retirement. He was a member of the John Mitchell Lodge No. 1401, he had a passion for dirt-track racing and Nascar, and he loved all of his fur-babies, Miley, Zoë, and Stella. Sam was known for his hot temper and his quick-witted sense of humor.

He is preceded in death by father, Hamp Millsaps, Sr., mother, Peggy Buzard, brother, Hamp Millsaps, Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Glenda Millsaps, his daughter, Tamara Millsaps (Gary), his son, Bubba Millsaps (Amanda), his special brother-in-law, Carl Hudson, and Granddaughter and love of his life, Shelbie Millsaps. Brother and sisters, Derold Millsaps, Velma Roberson, Ava Eaton (Danny), Kim Carter (Butch), and Lisa King (Austin). He also is survived by many nieces, nephews and great friends.
