Ruth Skaggs

Ruth Clark Skaggs, 95, of Texas City passed away Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Mainland Medical Center. She has finally gone home and is at peace now.

Visitation will be held 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 27, 2012 with a Funeral Service being held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 28, 2012 both at EmkenLinton Funeral Home in Texas City. Burial will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster.

Ruth was born February 11, 1917 in Runge, Texas. She had an abiding faith in God and her savior Jesus Christ. Ruth cherished her husband Charlie, with whom she shared a deep love and joyfully danced her way through life with, along with all her family. She was a rock for her family and taught them to always love God, each other and to never give up. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

Survivors include her daughter Barbara Gorden of Texas City grandchildren Monica Miles and husband Johnny of Houston, Patrick Gorden and wife Tracy of Brookshire, Terry Dowell Owens of Beaumont and Jimmy Dowell and wife Allison of Eden Prairie, MN most loved soninlaw Dale Dowell of Beaumont, as well as numerous greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews and other friends and relatives.
