VIRGINA RUTH MOBLEY

Virgina Ruth Mobley, 99, of Texas City, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at Harbourview Care Center.

Visitation will be 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at EmkenLinton Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 6:00 P.M. Graveside Service will be 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Lakeside Cemetery in Eagle Lake, Texas.

Mrs. Mobley was born October 16, 1914 in Eagle Lake, Texas. She graduated from Eagle Lake High School. She attended University of Texas in Austin and graduated in 1936. Mrs. Mobley taught school in Richmond, TX. and Canton, TX. She retired from Texas State Employment Commission in 1984 with 30 years of service. Mrs. Mobley was a member of First United Methodist Church in Texas City for 60 plus years.

Mrs. Mobley is preceded in death by her parents, Henry Lee and Mattie Lee Johnson husband, Saylors Joseph Mobley brothers, Charles Edwin Johnson and Lee Reed Johnson sister, Ophelia Johnson.

Survivors include her son, Paul Ross Mobley daughter, Nancy Mobley Knouse daughterinlaw, Cathie Hamilton Mobley granddaughters, Erin Gorney and Sherry Domokos grandsons, Lee Knouse and Paul Ross Mobley, Jr. greatgrandchildren, Lauren Domokos, Brandon Saylors Domokos, Jimmy Knouse and Lilah Ruth Knouse.
