In the early hours of June 12, 2017, surrounded by family and her beloved poodle Susie, long time resident of Texas city, Ruth G. Bertolett passed away peacefully.

She is survived by her brother, Robert Greeley and wife Dorothy of Texas City, Texas; sister in law, Barbara Bertolett of San Antonio, Texas; nieces, Linda Greeley of Texas City, Texas and Sharon Russell of Goodland, Kansas; grandniece, Jennifer Peterson of Lakewood, Colorado; grandnephew, John Russell of Melbourne, Australia; stepchildren, David Bertolett of Sarasota, Florida, Carol Bertolett Mason of Cary, North Carolina, Robert Scott Bertolett of Valencia, California and Edwin "Ted" Bertolett of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; longtime friend, John Nichols, Sr. and family of Nassau Bay, Texas.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday June 26, 2017 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park. Visitation will be 3:00 - 5:00 p.m., Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City.

The family would like to thank the nurses and caregivers for their compassionate care of Ruth. She was generous and kind to everyone she met. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
