RoseMary Ortiz Dehghani, 69, of Texas City, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at HCA Houston Healthcare Mainland.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM Monday, December 18, 2023, with a Rosary at 6:30 PM at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at 10:30 AM at St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church in Texas City. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson, Texas.
RoseMary was born on January 15, 1954, at Danforth Hospital in Texas City. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and great aunt.
After RoseMary finished high school, she completed technical training in the field of electronics and worked at Litton Industries in Alvin, soldering component boards and building navigation equipment for underwater research. RoseMary was a young spirit. She loved live music, making people laugh, and her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She spent most of her days driving around town with her son, Mori Jr., shopping, and eating out. She was a devoted grandmother who wanted to spend all her extra time with her granddaughters, Rosie and Ari. Between 8:00-8:30 PM every night she would call her daughter Mina to tell her granddaughters goodnight. Rosie always knew if the phone rang around bedtime, it was Grandma D.
She is preceded in death by her parents Pete and Isabel Ortiz Sr., her brother Michael Ortiz, and her niece Leticia Ortiz.
Survivors include her devoted husband Morteza Dehghani Sr., children Morteza Dehghani Jr., Mina Dehghani-Wymore and son-in-law, Nicholas Wymore, her loving granddaughters Rosie and Ari Wymore, brothers and sisters: Pete Jr. & Phyllis Ortiz, Becky & Joe Mendez Sr., Richard Sr. & Trini Ortiz, David Sr. & Donna Ortiz, and Roger & Stacy Ortiz. Also, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Avery Ortiz, Joe Mendez Jr., David Ortiz Jr., Daniel Ortiz, Caden Gardner and Cecilio Olivares.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Richard Ortiz Jr., and Nikki Smith.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Diabetes Association Diabetes Research, Education, Advocacy | ADA
