Rodolphe Rudy Hector Pepin, 90, of Texas City, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2012, with his wife and family by his side.
Rudy was born June 29, 1922 in Manchester, NH to Albert and Mathilda. He served our country in the U.S. Army with the 1338th Engineers, with tours in Africa and Italy. Rudy was a painter and general contractor for over 30 years in Galveston County and the surrounding areas.
He married Helen Garton on January 15, 1943 and resided in Texas City. They have lived in the same home for 51 years, where they raised four children, enjoying a wonderful life together.
He is preceded in death by his parents Albert and Mathilda Pepin brother Bert Pepin and grandson Dale Pepin.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Helen Pepin daughters Charlotte Pepin and Rita Harrington of Texas City son Albert Pepin and wife Lillian of Texas City, Rudy Lee Pepin of Houston brother Emile Pepin and wife Terry of Manchester, NH sister Rita Hundley of Phoenix, AZ grandchildren Lorie Jones, Alicia Milutin, Jamie Cutler, Brent Bratsen, Bryan Pepin, Christopher and Brandee Rios greatgrandchildren Rhonda Cuilla, William, Kyle and Josh Stetar, Cory and Kirsten Allen, Blaine Milutin, Jennah Kainer, Cayden and Macy Cutler, Ryan and Cameron Bratsen, Madisynn and Hailey Pepin and greatgreatgranddaughter Alyssa Cuilla.
A celebration of Rudys life will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, August 4, 2012, at EmkenLinton Funeral Home in Texas City. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster. Visitation will be at 5:00 P.M., Friday, August 3, 2012 at EmkenLinton Funeral Home in Texas City.
Pallbearers are Bryan Pepin, Brent Bratsen, Brian Milutin, Cory Allen, Bobby Burgin, and Robert Serrato. Honorary Pallbearer: Jimmy Lafferty.
The family would like to express many Thanks to the Doctors and Staff at Mainland Medical Center, and to American Hospice for all the special care and service they provided for our Family.
