Robin Sue (Hulsey) Brown, 67, of Texas City, Texas, passed away peacefully at 6:25 PM on Monday, April 7, 2025, at Clear Lake Hospital. Born on January 25, 1958, in San Antonio, Texas, Robin was surrounded by many friends, family, and loved ones at the time of her passing.
Robin dedicated her career to supporting others, working as an Administrative Assistant for various doctor’s offices throughout her life. Her compassionate nature and commitment to service left a lasting impact on everyone she worked with and cared for. She was also a recent member of Trinity Baptist Church in Texas City, where she quickly felt at home. Her faith and kindness were evident to all who knew her.
Robin is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Brown, Sr; two sons, Kenneth Brown, Jr. and wife Adrienne, and Terry Brown and wife Jennifer. She was a proud grandmother to Clay Jennings and wife Della, Kenneth Brown III, Macy (Ray) Deering and husband Matthew, Amber Brown, Ashley Brown, Elyse Brown, Justyce Brown, Ryan Fewell, and Kylie Fewell; and a beloved great-grandmother to Lainey Weaver. She is also survived by her brothers, James Hulsey, Ben Hulsey, and Joe Hulsey and his wife Sherry. Also near to her heart were Tim Krietemeyer and his girlfriend Amanda Workman, Amber’s boyfriend Christian Weaver and Elyse’s boyfriend Payne Smith.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jessie Eletta (Moody) Yaeger; father, John Travis Hulsey; stepfather, David Yaeger; and brother, Michael Hulsey.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Brown Jr, Terry Brown, Kenneth Brown III, Clay Jennings, Tim Krietemeyer, and Jonathan Van Wagner.
Robin loved giving thoughtful gifts, always customizing something special for the people she cared about. She was especially known for her famous pumpkin bread—if you didn’t get a loaf during the holidays, you knew you’d missed out.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Emken Linton Funeral Home in Texas City. A memorial service celebrating Robin’s life will take place at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Trinity Baptist Church, followed by a procession to Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery for a brief graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Robin’s memory to a charity of your choice, as a way to honor her legacy of kindness and compassion.
