Robert Wainscott

Our wonderful Dad, Robert Carl Wainscott "Bob" was born November 23, 1938 and passed away February 24, 2016 at the age of 77 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. He drifted away peacefully while holding the hand of his beloved wife. Our Dad had an appetite for life that was unsurpassed.

He was a past master of the Texas City Masonic Lodge AF and AM 1118, having been a member for 48 years. He was also passionate about the Boy Scouts and served as a Scoutmaster for many years. He was blessed to have married Ronnell Wainscott, who loved him and supported/tolerated his projects, hobbies and irascible nature for almost 48 years.

Bob is also survived by his children, LeAnn Wainscott Diamond and her husband Richard Crowther, Diana L Roach and her husband Paul Roach, Shawn Wainscott and his wife Kelly Helton Wainscott and grandchildren Travis Cross, Drake Diamond, Leah Diamond, Zachary Diamond, Dylan Wainscott, Ethan Wainscott and Ryan Wainscott. Bob is also survived by his brother, Larry J. Wainscott and his wife Cindy; numerous nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.

We love you Dad and can't imagine that there will ever be a family gathering that doesn't include a story about one of our Dad's adventures!

As in all things Bob Wainscott, we are moving rapidly in scheduling the celebration of his life. A visitation will be held at Emken-Linton Funeral Home 5100 Emmett F. Lowry Expressway in Texas City from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m., Thursday, February 25, 2016 the funeral service will be held at 10:30a.m., Friday, February 26, 2016. Masonic graveside service will follow at Forest Park East conducted by Anson Jones, Lodge # 1316 AF and AM Friendswood, TX.
