Robert Eugene Bubba Pryor passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Friday, November 25, 2011. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 10 A.M. at the Emken Linton Funeral Home in Texas City. Burial Services will follow at Forest Park East in Webster. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 29, 2011 from 5:007:00 PM. at the funeral home.
Robert was born on June 8, 1956 to Thomas and Jimmie Ruth Pryor. He was a graduate of Texas City High School, College of the Mainland and University of Houston Clear Lake.
Robert was retired from Clear Creek ISD where he served as a history teacher at Clear Lake Intermediate School. He also served as the social studies department chairman and was honored in the Whos Who of American Teachers. He served as President of the Clear Creek Classroom Teachers Association and on the Board of Directors of the Texas Classroom Teachers Association.
Robert loved fishing and the Dallas Cowboys, but his true joy in life was his granddaughter, Peyton.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Pryor his children Robert Pryor, Jr., Lisa Pryor Jay and Bradley Pryor and his granddaughter Peyton Elizabeth Jay his parents Thomas and Jimmie Ruth Pryor his brother, Thomas Pryor Jr. and wife Teresa, his sister, Marilyn Perry and husband Clay. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, and uncles, cousins and friends.
Pall Bearers will be Clint Yoas, Dr. Ronald Schalk, Norman Wood, Thomas Jay, John Pryor, Marshal Perry and Andy McNanny. Honorary pall bearer will be Sean Springman.
