Rick Garza, 39, of Texas City, born on November 6,1982, passed on Tuesday, December 28, 2021. Rick was a loving son, brother and uncle. He loved spending time with his family, especially his niece who was the light of his life. He was the kind of person that would give his all to you. Rick never met a stranger.
He enjoyed going to the casinos, playing cards and attending sport events. Rick was a sport enthusiasts his favorite teams were the Houston Astros and the Arizona Cardinals.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, George & Norma Reyna; uncles, Robert Reyna, Ralph Reyna and Antonio Reyna.
Rick is survived by his mother, Annette Reyna; brother, Greg Garza; sister, Kristina Martin (James); niece, Cheyanne Martin; girlfriend, Jennifer Boettcher; aunt, Olga Perez (Rudy); uncles, George Reyna (Maria) and Ben Reyna, Sr., cousins, Gus Perez, Ramona Pettit, Olga Marie Chapa, Monica Perez, Fatima Reyna Mullikin, Lori Posada and Ben Reyna, Jr., as well as numerous other family members and friends.
Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, January 10, 2021 with a rosary to begin at 6:00 p.m., at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church of Texas City with a reception at Ponzini Hall following services.
The family is requesting everyone to wear their favorite sports attire in honor of Rick.
