RICHARD A. ECKHART

Richard Alan Eckhart, 58, of San Leon passed away Friday, October 25, 2013, in Houston. A Celebration of Richards life will be at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, November 17, 2013, at Palisade Palms on the beach in Galveston.

Richard was born August 28, 1955 in Ohio. He grew up in Battle Creek, Michigan, graduated from Michigan State University and obtained his CPA. He worked for Arthur Andersen Co. as a tax manager in the Detroit, Grand Rapids and Houston offices before starting his own CPA practice in 1984. He had a variety of clients in the Houston area. Earlier in his life Richard was an avid scratch golfer. He was a lifelong sports fan who had a photographic memory full of sports statistics. He loved fishing, bridge, NASCAR and going on cruises.

Richard is survived by his wife, Joyce Webb his daughters Stephanie Eckhart and Jessica Rainwater father, Clyde Eckhart sister, Jean OBrien niece Kathleen Jean OBrien and many friends.
