Richard Bryan

Richard Lynn Bryan, 75, of Texas City, Texas passed away Monday, June 14, 2021.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 17, 2021, with a visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park.

Richard was born June 9, 1946, in Holland, Michigan. Richard joined the Navy where he would earn a National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and a Navy Unit Commendation Medal.  Richard married his great love Emily in 1990. Richard loved his wife and their blended family with all his being. He retired from Amoco Oil as an operator. Richard loved country music, cowboy boots and telling stories. He was a compassionate man, always giving to make sure everyone he loved was happy. He loved God, guns, family, and his country.

Richard is preceded in death by his wife, Emily H. Bryan; daughter, Tawn Hayes; brothers, George E. Bryan, and Donald JR. Bryan; sisters, Sandra Woldrig and Maria Andrea Bryan; parents, Donald L. Bryan, and Evelyn Viola Schafer.

Richard is survived by his children, sons, Richard Donald Bryan and wife Kim, Jason Martin Bryan and wife Beth, Jacob Daniel Bryan, and fiancé DeeAdra Mosby, Charles M. Willis and wife Svong, Stephen Willis and girlfriend Tracy Thorton; daughter, Lisa Cyr, and husband Raymond Cyr; grandchildren, Richard Keith Bryan, Alexis Bryan, Ilena Bryan, Cameron Bryan, Erica L. Bryan, Jacob Z. Bryan, Casey Marcum, Erica Pleasant, Ryan Camp, Ray Cyr, Tori Cyr, and Justin Cyr.
