Raymond Vaughn

Raymond Ken Vaughn, 77 of La Marque passed away Thursday in League City.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM Monday, Nov. 7 at the Emken Linton Funeral Home in Texas City. Graveside services will be held 2 PM Tuesday, Nov. 8 at the Baptist Cemetery in Bedias, Texas. Visitation will be 4 PM 7 Pm Sunday, November 6 at EmkenLinton Funeral Home in Texas City.

Raymond was born October 17, 1934 in Buffalo, TX. He served three years in the Marine Corps as an MP. He worked for Coastal Transport in La Marque and then worked for the La Marque Police Department. He also worked security at Mainland Medical Center with the Galveston County Sherriffs Office. Later, purchased a Semi Trailer and hauled heavy equipment all around the country until he retired.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Joyce and Addie Copeland Vaughn sister, Virginia Connolly brothers Charles, Joe Edd, and Ernest Vaughn and his daughter, Cathleen Oelgeschlager.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Trillis Vaughn children Caroline Mead and husband, Bill, Catherine Vaughn, Raymond Kenneth Vaughn, Jr.and wife,Cathy, and Cindy Vaughn brother Jerry Vaughn and wife, Greta Eleven grandchildren, Chris Parker, David Mead, Jr., Joey Mead, Heather and Jacob Towe, Angela Vaughn, Sharon Cockayne, Meagan and C. J. Williams, Mercedes and Dusty Vaughn and ten great grandchildren.

He enjoyed his family and did some traveling.
