Ralph Garrett

Ralph L. Garrett, 84, of Texas City, Texas, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 27, 2021 at Silver Pines Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 13, 2022 with a visitation from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m., at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City. Burial will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park.

Ralph L. Garrett was born September 2, 1937 in Cushing, Oklahoma. He was the son of Ralph and Ethyl Garrett. Ralph was the husband and widower of Vernice Pritchard Garrett, they shared many wonderful years of marriage together. Ralph served in the Army Reserves and National Guard. He worked at Valero as a shift supervisor and served on the board for the Gulf Shore Credit Union. Ralph was a member and served as a deacon of the First Baptist Church in Texas City. He will be remembered for his kind nature, honesty and sense of humor.

He is preceded in death by parents; brothers, Billy and Paul Garrett and sisters, Bobby and Patsy Garrett.

Survivors include son, Mark Garrett and wife Karen; sister, Ethyl L. Garrett Claywell and Richard Claywell; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
