Quinto Tijerina

Quinto Kito Hernandez Tijerina, 81, formerly of Texas City, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2012 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

Kito was born March 7, 1931 in Sinton, TX. He was a veteran of the US Army a lifelong member of the Texas City Masonic Lodge since 1975, where he served as Past Master a member of the Texas City Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 626 since 1989, where he served as Past Patron.
He is preceded in death by his parents Cosme and Nickolasa Tijerina brothers Larry, Joe and Willy Tijerina sisters Sudie Galindo and Lupe Day and grandson Michael Tijerina.
Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Virginia son Cosme and his significant other Vickie Lovejoy daughter Jean Kiker and grandson Tommy Martinez and wife Whitney and greatgrandson Keegan son Michael and greatgrandson Julian daughter Sandy and granddaughters Stevie and Shayne sister Mary Chapa brother Cosme Tijerina and wife Mary and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 10, 2012, at Emken Linton Funeral Home in Texas City with a Masonic graveside service to follow at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock. Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, August 9, 2012 at EmkenLinton Funeral Home.
