Paul Sumrall

Paul H. Sumrall, 89, of La Marque, Texas, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2013 in Texas City, Texas.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at EmkenLinton Funeral Home. Masonic Graveside Services will follow at Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock, Texas with Texas City Lodge 1118 officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at the funeral home.

Mr. Sumrall was born December 9, 1923 near Mobile, Alabama. He was retired as an Electrician. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Coast Guard, a member of the Recovery Team of the Texas City Disaster, I.B.E.W. 527 and an Officer for Joint Apprenticeship Committee, a member of the El Mina Shrine in Galveston and Masonic Lodge 1118 Texas City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Laura Sumrall his wife, Johnnie and his son, John.

Survivors include his daughters, Gail Severin Walter, and Jillana Helms his son, Mark Sumrall his brother, George Sumrall Velma sister, Dusty Cummins his grandchildren, Philip Vaughn, Andy and Adam Helms and John Willis Sumrall and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be members of the family.
