Patricia Ann Santiff walked through the gates of Heaven on May 11, 2012. Her final days were spent surrounded by her beloved children, family, and friends.
A memorial service is planned for 2:00 pm, Saturday, May 19, 2012, at EmkenLinton Funeral Home in Texas City, TX.
Pat was born on September 7, 1942, in Montgomery, Alabama to UV Herman Carroll. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and greatgrandmother. She was preceded in death by husband, Gannon Santiff, her parents, and 2 granddaughters Kayla Sue Cook and Cierra Vollberg.
Memaw, as her grandkids call her, was a kind hearted and strongspirited woman. She thoroughly enjoyed the beauty of Gods creations. She loved nature and the simpler things in life. Some of the most treasured memories her children have of growing up are the times they spent with her at their land in Wild Country. They lived in the woods for weeks at a time during the summer with no modern conveniences. Pat could also talk for hours about ghosts and loved a good ghost hunt.
Those who remain on earth are saddened by her departure but are forever blessed to have her spirit and love in their hearts. She is survived by her brother, Doug Carroll of Selma, AL, her brother and sisterinlaw, Carl Carol Carroll of Prattville, AL, and brother and sisterinlaw, Lewis Nancy Carroll of Waco, TX.
She also leaves behind a large legacy in her children: Son, Robert Trooper Cook of Crosby, TX, and grandchildren, Tamara, Kristi and Robert Cook, Daughter, Brandy Davenport of Dickinson, TX, and grandchildren, Brian Cook and Brittany Thomasson, Son and daughterinlaw, Mike Cindy Cook, of Merit, TX, and grandchildren, Beth Bookout, Kaitlyn and Michael Cook, Daughter and soninlaw, Autumn Troy Vollberg of Globe, AZ, and grandchildren, Madison Vose and Payten Vollberg, and Son, Gannon Santiff, of Santa Fe, NM. She also was blessed with 3 greatgrandchildren, Kyler and Katelynn Yarbrough, and LilyAnn Watkins, numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends.
One thing certain about life is...youre promised death. And even though we know this, it still doesnt make losing a loved one any easier. The broken hearts will mend as we remember Pats signature phrase, I will love you till the 12th of never.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Pats honor to the:
