Opal Jennings

Opal M. Jennings departed from this life into her heavenly life on Friday, February 1st, 2013 at Oceanview Care Center in Texas City, TX. Opal was born May 25th, 1935 to Monroe Minnie Thomas in Ashtown, Arkansas. Her family later moved to Galveston, TX where she married her high school sweetheart William Bill Julian. They lived the military life having six children, and then adopted one making seven. After the service, they moved to Hitchcock, TX where she was a house wife and stay at home mom. That marriage ended in 1973. She then met and married Thomas W. Jennings in 1977. They moved to Laneville, TX where she loved the little country town life even after her husband died in 1981. After her health got bad and she could no longer live by herself, she moved to Texas City to be closer to three of her children in 2007.
She is preceded in death by her grandchildren Zachery Q. Julian Dominque M. Pulver husband Thomas W. Jennings parents Monroe Minnie Thomas siblings Betty Jo Burford, Paul Thomas June, Jeannie McCullough Harry, Dorthey Ollre David, Allen Thomas and her potbellied pig Oprah.
She leaves to cherish her memories her children Ann Krivokopich Bobby, Bill Julian, James Julian Karen, Donna Pulver, Rita Douglas, Eddie Julian Pam, Jerry Julian Carmel, sisters Mary Elliott Linda Cox Grandchildren Nick Krivokopich, Eric Krivokopich Amber, Breanne Turner Scooter, Nick Garcia Candice, Matthew Julian, Cody Douglas Rosslyn, Wade Julian Raven, Megan Julian, Margaret Julian, Riley Julian, Shelby Julian, Kirby Julian, Renley Julian, Kerrigan Julian, and a special greatgranddaughter Carrington Julian and seven other greatgrandchildren. Exhusband friend William Julian, special play daughter Bettye Greer, special niece Theresa Womack, special friend Hellen Wisner and numerous other friends, nieces nephews.
Her wishes were to be cremated and a private graveside service in Laneville, TX on Friday, February 8th, 2013. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Oceanview Care Center, there are so many to name that touched our mothers life with extra care and love, she truly loved you all. To the Hospice staff for being there with us till the end making the transition from this life to her heavenly life as peaceful as it was, Thank You All.
Mom, you will be deeply missed loved by your devoted daughters Rita, Donna, Ann son Jerry, granddaughter You Are My Sunshine Margaret and greatgranddaughter Carrington.
