NANCY MURPHY

Nancy Weber Murphy, 65, died peacefully on December 20, 2013 at Cornerstone Hospital in Clear Lake, following a lengthy battle with cancer. Nancy was born September 4, 1948, in Covington, Kentucky, to the late George H. Weber and Ann Ashcraft Weber.

Nancy was an avid bowler and participated in league play for more than 30 years. During those years, she traveled extensively throughout the United States while competing in bowling tournaments. She also enjoyed her trips to Las Vegas and Louisiana with friends to take her chances with the slot machines. Nancy worked at Taylor Hill for many years until she had to resign due to her illness. She loved working there and made lifelong friends.

Nancy was a member of St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church and also loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Nancy is survived by her brother, Tony Weber daughter and soninlaw, Shannon and Scott Carroll son, Michael Murphy son and daughterinlaw, Mark and Katie Murphy grandchildren, Davis and Hannah Carroll, Kaiyan Murphy Jones, Braden Loehr and Kuper Murphy along with numerous other close friends and relatives.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 30, 2013 at EmkenLinton Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church, 1604 9th Ave No, Texas City, Texas 77590.
