Melba Wilson

Melba Lucille Wilson, 91, of Jacksonville, Texas, passed away, October 31, 2020.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m., Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Emken Linton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park.  Visitation will be 12:30 – 1:30 p.m., November 5, 2020 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City.

Melba was born in Pontotoc, Mississippi on November 13, 1928 to Bertie Lola Beasley Millican and Ben Bolen Millican. She lived in Shelby, Mississippi, until she met and married the love of her life Keith Burdette Wilson in 1948. She helped her husband run their household for 65 years. They had 3 children together, Keith, Toni Lynn and Tim.

Melba loved her Lord Jesus Christ and faithfully studied his word which she would share with anyone who would listen and with those who wouldn’t. She was looking forward to the day she would see her Lord.

She enjoyed doodling, sketching and keeping her house in order. She was the glue that held the family together.

Melba spent her later years at Angelina House in Jacksonville, Texas where she enjoyed wheeling around the halls entertaining everyone. She would occasionally help them do their jobs - her way.

Melba is preceded in death by her husband, Keith Wilson and her parents.

Survivors include sons, Keith Ben Wilson and Tim Wilson; daughter, Toni Lynn Wilson Harmon; 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Melba will be greatly missed by her family, friends and her Angelina House family.
