Maxsimina Torres

Maxsimina Torres, 89, of Hitchcock, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forest Park East. Visitation will be 6:00 - 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City.

Maxsimina Torres was born May 28, 1928 in Waelder, Texas. She loved to sew, garden and play her accordion. She was an active member of Mainland Assembly of God.

She is preceded in death by husband, Bentio H. Torres Sr; Parents, Domingo and Tanislada Munoz; sisters, Antonlina Rodriguez, Ricarda Serverda, Angelita Ybarra and Julia Estrada; brothers, Conrado, Ambrosio and Domingo Jr. Munoz.

Survivors include children, Juan & Rosie Torres, Benny Torres, Jr., Jose "Coco" & Sara Torres, Rosa L. Garica and Robert & Mary Torres; brothers, Lee Munoz and Faustino Munoz and sister, Cata Torres; eighteen grandchildren, thirty-seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild as well as numerous nieces & nephews other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers are Tina Torres, Edward Garcia Jr., Christopher Torres, Jose Torres Jr., Patrick Torres and Robert Torres Jr; Honorary Pallbearers, Raymond Torres and Edward Garcia III
