Matthew Gustke

Matthew Gustke, 18, League City, passed away, Friday, September 8, 2017 in League City.

Funeral services will be held 9:30 a.m., Saturday, September 16, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church in League City located at 1612 East Walker Street. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. with a vigil starting at 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 15, 2017 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City.

Matthew was born December 27, 1998 in Webster, Texas. He was a 2017 graduate of Dickinson High School and planned to attend College of the Mainland.

Survivors include mother, Lisa Gustke; sister, Kristen Gustke; brother, Aaron Gustke and his father, Scott Gustke; grandparents, (Dama) Virginia Garcia and John Pena, (Paw Paw) Arcadio Rodriguez and (Grandpa and Grandma Gustke) Robert and Anne.

Pallbearers are Kristen Gustke, Aaron Gustke, Andy Rodriguez, Hayden English, Samuel Sanford and Matthew Fulcher.

In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a Go Fund Me page to help aid in funeral expenses at https://www.gofundme.com/prayers-for-the-matthew-gutzke. Additional money will be used to set up a scholarship in Matthew's name for a DISD graduate enrolling at COM.
