MARY BETH WILKERSON

Mary Martin Wilkerson earned her angel wings and went home to be with our Lord and Savior on the morning of December 25, 2013. She was born on April 1, 1937 in Prairie Hill, Texas to Homer and Lois Martin. She was one of 8 children. Mary met and married the love of her life, Howard Franklin Wilkerson on August 19, 1955. Frank and Mary settled down in Texas City, Texas. Mary worked at the Medical and Surgical Clinic in La Marque, Texas until its closure and then she went on to doing bookkeeping until she retired.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Franklin Wilkerson, her parents, Homer and Lois Martin, her sister, Patsy Chandler and her brother, Robert Martin. Mary is survived by her daughters, Barbara Wilkerson of Lake Jackson, Texas and Deanna Wilkerson Edwards and husband Lenny Edwards of Dickinson, Texas her grandchildren David Curry and wife Letha, Erin Taylor and husband Jeffery, Eric Edwards and his wife Andrea, Ryan Fitzpatrick and wife Tiffany, Drew Edwards of Angleton, Texas great grandchildren Savannah Downer, Kylie Fitzpatrick, Percy Curry, Alexis and Caitlyn Edwards. Mary is also survived by her siblings Joann Walker of Irving, Texas, Charlene Andreau of Waco, Texas, Peggy Phillips and husband Phil of La Marque, Texas, Homer Martin and wife Anna of Athens, Texas, and Ruth Hutto and husband Gary of Frankston, Texas.
Mary will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends but we can rest assured knowing that shes finally at rest and reunited with the love of her life, Frank. Our family would also like to give a special thanks to Rosie Williams as she was the only person who could keep Mary in line and took such great care of her the last few years of her life. Mary loved Rosie unconditionally and we are very thankful for the great care and such a warm, smiling face every day.
Visitation will be held at EmkenLinton Funeral Home on Friday, December 27, 2013 from 5:00 7:00 PM and a graveside service at Grace Memorial Park, Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 11:00 AM.
