Mary Summerlin

Mary Summerlin, age 91, longtime resident of La Marque, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013, after a long illness. She was born April 17, 1921, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lyons Pasco Summerlin, and her son Michael Dwain Summerlin.
She is survived by her daughter Karen and husband Larry Muehe son Paul Summerlin and fianc Christy Bailey daughter in law Daneta 10 grandchildren 14 great grandchildren 1 greatgreat grandson a niece a nephew and a great nephew.
Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, who will be greatly missed. She worked at UTMB in Galveston for 23 years as an office administrator in the housekeeping department and enjoyed being active in the Ladies Guild at the church.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in La Marque with a burial to follow at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Friday, March 22, 2013 with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St Judes Childrens Research Institute, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
