Mary Lewis

Mary Lou Lewis, age 67, of La Porte, Texas, entered Heaven's gates on Sunday, May 20, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Larry Lewis Sr. for 49 years.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Second Baptist Church located at 9025 Carlow Lane, La Porte, Texas 77571
Mary was born December 17, 1950 in Terre Haute, Indiana. She worked in the Nutrition Department at La Porte Jr. High School.
She is preceded in death by her father, Ervin Waller; mother, Dorothy Waller; daughter, Michelle Lynn Lewis-Hernandez; mother-in-law, Letha Lewis; brother-in-law, Donald Lewis; brothers: Carl Waller and Marshall Waller; and Aunt Violet Frey.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Lewis Sr.; daughters: Stephanie Lewis, Kristina Bradshaw and husband Gabriel; son: Larry Lewis Jr.; grandchildren: Meagan Hernandez and husband James Donlin, Anthony Hernandez, Larry (LJ) Lewis III, Brittany Bradshaw, Devin Lewis, Kayla Bradshaw and Marcus Lewis; sisters: Luella Smith, Dorothy (Jean) Gross, Melinda Smith; brother: Ervin (Pugh) Waller, and many family members in Terre Haute, Indiana and friends here in La Porte.
Mary was an incredible person and loved spending time with her family, church and friends. She will be remembered forever for her kindness, and the way she touched so many hearts. She will forever be in our hearts and is our new beautiful guardian angel.
