Mary Jane Kirker, of Texas City, passed away September 19, 2024.

Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m., Monday, October 21, 2024 with a visitation from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m., at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City.

Mary was born on April 9, 1939 in Patterson, New Jersey. She served in the U. S. Women's Army Corp from 1957-1959. She spent most of her adult life as a military wife and homemaker. After raising her four children she enjoyed traveling throughout the United States with her husband and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James W. Kirker Jr., her parents, James F. Farrell and Mary Countryman, her siblings, William Farrell, Lucy Skipper, and Jimmy Farrell, and her grandson, Brian C. Tate.

Survivors include her children, Robert Schott (Cindy) of Sante Fe, Katrina Garcia (Paul) of Texas City, Kathy Neely (Mike) of Texas City, Kristie Weems (John) of San Antonio, 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to - Coast Guard Mutual Assistance or St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal's St. Vincent de Paul Society (Texas City).
