MARY ELIZABETH ACREE ALEXANDER



Mary Elizabeth Acree Alexander, 92, a Texas City resident for over 60 years passed away on Saturday, January 17, in Spring, TX.



Funeral services will be held Friday, January 23, at 2 PM at the Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock. Visitation for Mrs. Alexander will be Thursday, January 22 from 5 - 7 PM at the funeral home.



Mary was born December 28, 1922 in Toccoa, GA. She was an accountant and worked for Alton C. Pedersen and other CPA firms in Texas City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack. She and Jack were very active in the Texas City community. She was a longtime faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in Texas City.



Survivors include her daughters, Donna Bennink and Judy Bailey and husband, Paul; granddaughters, Keri Billings, Catie Brow and Michelle Bennink; seven great grandchildren, William, T.J., Emma, Faith, Annie, Lily and Molly and other relatives and friends.



She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be deeply missed. We rejoice that she is at peace in Heaven with her savior and has been reunited with her "other half" Jack.
