MARVIN DALE BEANLAND

Marvin Dale Beanland of Santa Fe went to be with his Lord on Monday, October 21, 2013 at the age of 71.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 26, 2013 at EmkenLinton Funeral Home in Texas City, Texas. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.

Dale was born in Altus, OK on September 21, 1942, to Marvin and Arleta Beanland. On June 9, 1962, he married his wife of 51 years, Rose Calhoun Beanland, and they made their home in the Texas City Santa Fe area.

Dale retired from BP Amoco Chemicals after 33 years in the Accounting Department and Warehouse. Dale enjoyed hunting and fishing with his grandchildren, attending sports events and other activities in which they participated. He believed in the beauty of nature and spent many, many hours working in his vegetable gardens and flower beds. Dale looked forward to the Humming Birds migrations every summer. He took care of all Gods little creatures.

He is preceded in death by an infant sister and his parents. He leaves behind the following survivors to cherish his memory: His loving wife, Rose, sons, Chris Beanland and wife Julie of Santa Fe, Tim Beanland and wife Barbie of Texas City daughter Kim Blankenship of Santa Fe, six grandchildren and a sister, Brenda Horrell, from Mounds, OK. He also leaves behind numerous family and friends.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at Mainland Medical Hospital, Kindred Hospital, Regent Care Center and AMED Community Hospice for the wonderful care they provided for our loved one.
