Maria Alamar Guerrero Flores

Maria Alamar Guerrero Flores, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on March 6, 2024, at the age of 77. Maria was born on October 31, 1946, in Taft, TX, and was a long-time resident of Texas City, TX.
 
Maria dedicated many years of her life to her work, first at Sterling Chemical and later in security at the Texas City docks. She was known for her diligent work ethic and dedication to her family. Maria was married to Pedro Flores Sr., and together they built a beautiful life filled with love and cherished memories.
 
Maria is preceded in death by her husband Pedro Flores Sr., her parents Estefana and Abundio Guerrero from Taft, TX, and her brothers Daniel and Reymundo Guerrero. 

She is survived by her sons Julio Guerrero, Pedro Flores Jr. and wife Claudia, Napoleon Flores, Anthony Flores and wife Anna, grandchildren Daniel Flores, Nicole Flores, Nicolas and Harley Guerrero, and great-grandchildren Izeabela, Khloe, and Brayden Flores.
 
Maria is also survived by her sisters Lydia Casanova and Victoria Paiz, and brother Juan Guerrero, who will miss her dearly.
 
In her free time, Maria loved keeping a neat and organized house, pampering herself, and enjoying her favorite pastimes at the casinos and playing the lotto. She also loved her Dallas Cowboys and was a devoted fan. Maria was a life member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Dallas Cowboys Fan Houston.
 
A visitation with family and loved ones will be from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 15, 2024, at Emken-Linton Funeral Home, 5100 Emmett F. Lowry Expressway, Texas City, Texas with a funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m. to honor and celebrate Maria's life. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery. She will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
