Leisa C. Sanchez

Leisa C. Sanchez, 56, of Richmond, Texas, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, November 23, 2024 after a two month fierce journey battling cancer.

Leisa was born on September 9, 1968 to Bill and Sharon Cockerell in Ardmore, Oklahoma. After graduating high school in 1986 from Lutheran High North, Leisa co-owned and managed the family restaurant for 13 years, before taking an accounting position which led her to make many wonderful friends and co-workers up until her passing.

Leisa met the absolute love of her life, Joe Sanchez, in 1994. In March 1996, the pride and joy of Leisa's and Joe's life, Cole Hayden Sanchez was born. Leisa lived her life for Joe and Cole. Leisa loved spending her spare time with her family, weekly lunch dates with Cole and beach trips with friends.

Leisa was predeceased by her dad, Bill Cockerell. Leisa is survived by her loving husband, Joe Sanchez and only child, her precious Cole Sanchez; mother, Sharon Cockerell; sister, Vicki Grace (Geoff); sister, Ashley Duet (Chad); nephew, Austin Cortez (Mari) and niece, Montana Cortez.

We will honor Leisa with a celebration of life on Friday, December 6, 2024 at 11:00 am at Faith Methodist Church, 4600 FM 359, Richmond, Texas 77406.

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to MD Anderson for the excellent care they gave Leisa, and the many friends and family members who have been so generous to Joe, Cole and our entire family during this very difficult time.
