Librada Lillie Lopez

Librada Lillie Lopez, 87, of Hitchcock, was 1 day shy of her 88th birthday. Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, has gone to her eternal rest, Friday, August 8, 2014. During her passing, her loving family were vigilant at her side.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Hitchcock, Texas. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock. Visitation will be 5:007:00 p.m. August 12, 2014, with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at EmkenLinton Funeral Home in Texas City.

Lillie was born August 9, 1926 in Galveston, Texas to Cruz and Juanita Ortiz Ojeda. She was a proprietor owner of several past businesses in her community. She also retired from UTMB after working there for many years.

Our mother loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family gatherings, with home cooked meals, love and caring heart, were of no limit to her home. She will forever be in our hearts and sadly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Moises Lopez, granddaughter Lisa Ann Lopez, 5 sisters, and 3 brothers.

Survivors include her sons, Lalo Carmen Ojeda, Moises Lopez, Jr. and Robert Yolanda Lopez daughters, Beatrice Jessie Lopez and Rose Marie Charles Thurman 6 grandchildren 13 great grandchildren and 4 siblings.

Pallbearers are Robert Lopez, Jr., John Lopez, Mike Anzaldua, Johnny Garcia, Jr., Jesse Ojeda, Jr., and Joe A. Ojeda.
