Lawrence Weber, 83, of Texas City, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Mainland Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park. Visitation will be
5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Monday, June 1, 2015 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City.
Lawrence Weber was born to Louis and Carrie Weber on August 19, 1931 in Norco, Louisiana. He graduated from Corpus Christi High school and attended Southwest State Teachers College. He served in the U.S Air Force during the Korean War. Lawrence went to work for Monsanto as an operator in 1955.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Frances Weber; son, Larry Weber and wife Susan; daughter, Renee Gore and husband Steve; sister, Loretta Powell and husband Bill; grandson, Andrew Weber; granddaughters, Amy Gore, Hayley Hoelscher and husband James; numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives. The family would like to express a thank you to his caregivers.
Pallbearers will be Shelby Powell, Paul Powell, Alan Powell, Andrew Weber, Steve Gore, and James Hoelscher. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Powell and John Zimmerman.
