Kay Fuller Ashworth, 71 of Texas City died on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Clearlake Regional Medical Center, surrounded by family and friends.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City, Texas. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. John's United Methodist Church in Texas City.

She was born on May 14, 1945. Kay graduated from Texas City High School in 1963. After high school, she continued her education at Stephens College for Women freshman year, followed by the University of Texas in Austin where she was a member of the Pi Phi sorority. Kay received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from University of Texas and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Houston. Kay was a nurse at Galveston County Hospital for several years before going to work as a nurse at Marathon Refinery. She enjoyed a 20+ year career at Marathon and met many great friends prior to her retirement. Kay was a charter member of St. John's United Methodist Church.

Kay is preceded in death by her parents, Marian and Jim Fuller, Sr.; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Betty Fuller; and sister, Sara Jane Fuller.

She is survived by her daughters, Katy Conti and Amy Pack and husband, Jeff; and grandchildren, Tyler and Kalley Conti and Scarlet and Solomon Pack and many other loving family members.
