Kathryne Vanskike Delle

Kathryne Delle, 84, of Alba, TX and longtime Galveston resident passed away April 24, 2014 in Texas City, She was born June 18, 1929 to Joe and Ann Elliott in Chicago, IL.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at EmkenLinton Funeral Home in Texas City, TX. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5:007:00 p.m. Monday, April 28, 2014 at EmkenLinton Funeral Home in Texas City, TX.

Mrs. Delle was preceded in death by her husbands, Raymond Delle and Louis Vanskike brother George Elliott. She and Raymond enjoyed traveling. They had a summer home in Colorado which they happily shared with friends and family. Mrs. Delle was a talented oil portrait artist having studied under Marie Ragone of Galveston and Di Mitri Vail of Dallas, She later became a licensed realtor. But her first priority was always family homemaker, good wife and mother. She was genuine, sweet and loving to all.

Survivors include daughters, Kathy Magers and husband Chuck, Mary Linda Stroope and husband Jerry, Raye Delle and son Richard Delle sisters JoAnn Abbott and Mary Shumate grandchildren Dana McDowell and husband Joel, Angie Johnston and husband Kevin, Lauren Stroope and O.T. Stroope great grandchildren Ryan McDowell and wife Allison, Jason Johnston and wife Callie, Andrew Johnston, Erin Johnston and four greatgreat grandchildren nieces Millie Abbott, Beth Carroll, Bonnie Reagan, Claudia Batalis, Debbie Johnson and Debbie Elliott nephews Tom Abbott, Mark Elliott, and Richard Elliott.
