Julia Sanchez Bliss

Julia Sanchez Bliss, 76, of Texas City, TX, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025 in Seabrook, TX.

Julia was born on December 21, 1948 in Texas City, TX, the daughter of Guadalupe Sauceda. Julia worked in Texas City ISD in the Janitorial Services for over twenty years, where she eventually retired. During that time, Julia married William (Bill) Bliss on February 12, 1990. They were married 25 years until his passing in 2015.

Julia enjoyed watching her day-time soap operas; The Price is Right, scary movies, sci-fi movies, COPS, and Live PD. She also enjoyed her "puzzle books" and would spend several hours a day on them. She loved to go fishing and crabbing with her son and granddaughter.

Preceding Julia in death are Guadalupe Sauceda (Mother), William Bliss (Husband), Caroline De la Cerda (Sister), Ralph Sanchez (Brother), Julio Sanchez (Twin Brother), Catarino Sanchez (Brother).

Remaining to cherish Julia's memory are her son; Ralph Sanchez, daughter-in-law; Jill Sanchez, granddaughter, Desiree Sanchez, step-son's and step-daughters, Billy, KK, Melissa and Tina along with numerous step-grandchildren. Numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews as well as her many friends she made throughout the years.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 14, 2025 at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock, TX.
