Juanita Jaramillo, 77, of Texas City, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at Mainland Medical Center in Texas City.
Funeral services will be held 9:00 A.M., Saturday, August 25, 2012, at Shrine of the True Cross Catholic Church in Dickinson with Father Paul Felix officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster. Visitation will be at 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Friday, August 24, 2012 with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. at EmkenLinton Funeral Home in Texas City.
Juanita Jaramillo was born June 24, 1935 in Wharton, Texas to parents Juan Zavala and Margarita Becerra Zavala. Before retirement in 1992, she was a custodian at College of the Mainland and a devoted member of The Shrine of the True Cross Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Christina Jaramillo her father Juan Zavala her brothers Julian Zavala and Simon Zavala and her sister Cista Molinar.
Survivors include her mother Margarita Zavala her husband Adolfo Jaramillo her sons David DeLeon and Daniel DeLeon and wife April Vanderslice her daughters Janie DeLeonKulackoski and husband Gary, Yvette Jiminez, Gloria Cadriel and husband Daniel, Lisa Galicia and Diana Barba her brother Javier Zavala and wife Mary her brothersinlaw Magdaleno Jaramillo and wife Felicitas, Richard Jaramillo and wife Debbie Roberts her sister Tomasita Thibodeaux her sistersinlaw Pat Cano and husband Ruben, Hope Lasoya and husband Raymond, and Grace Chamberlain and husband Rolf 13 grandchildren 19 greatgrandchildren 4 greatgreat grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers are Santos Rodriguez, Andrew DeLeon, Brian Cook, Alfred Chlamon, Abraham Zuniga, Antonio Cadriel, Joseph Cadriel and Jacob Cadriel.
