John Mcculloch

John William McCulloch, 81, of Texas City, passed away Monday, May 16, 2016 in League City, Texas.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 27, 2016 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City.

John McCulloch was born January 12, 1935 in Tyler, Texas. He worked at Houston Natural Gas Company as a Meterman for ten years and then began his thirty-year career with Amoco Chemical as a Machinist. He also served in the Army National Guard for eight years. His hobbies included bicycling with his Chihuahua - Lil Bit in the basket and fishing and hunting with sons. He bowled on a Senior citizens bowling league for 15 years and loved to play dominos - 42 and Moon. He took occasional trips to the casinos, played Skip-Bo with companions, went camping on the Guadalupe River and took regular visits to the Texas City Dike.

He is preceded in death by father, John Tate McCulloch; mother, Velma Gubernator; wife, Kaye McCulloch; son, Raymond Keith McCulloch; grandson, Jared Tate McCulloch; sisters, Ann Crawford and Martha Carpenter; companions, Edith Bateman and Ruth Brown.

Survivors include daughter, Patricia McCulloch; Son, Roy and wife, Rhonda McCulloch;
daughter-in-law, Renee' McCulloch; grandchildren, Michael Agruso Jr., Desiree' Vance, Brett McCulloch, Byram McCulloch and Cole McCulloch; great grandchildren, Anthony Agruso and Triston Vance.

Pallbearers are Michael Agruso Jr, Brett McCulloch, Byram McCulloch, Cole McCulloch, Don Vance and John "Country" Adrian. Honorary Pallbearers Dwight Scott and Raymond Epler, life-long friends.

Bill was a man of his word, a loving father and family man who never met a stranger. He was kind to both people and animals alike. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

The family would like to extend a huge Thank You to the Awesome Staff of the Cottages at Clear Lake for all their kindness and care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Charity of your choice.
