John Kantowski

John Capt. Buddy Kantowski went to be with Jesus on Saturday, February 23, 2013. He was 50 years young and was born in Galveston, Texas on November 17, 1962 to John Clinton Kantowski and Barbara Ann Barrett Davidson. He was the older of two children.
Buddy was married to his best friend and partner in life Patricia Kay Nelson Kantowski. They were married for 5 years in the beginning of their relationship, and it took getting divorced from each other to realize that they still needed each other. They got back together shortly after being divorced, but waited 10 years before remarrying. They celebrated their second marriage, of 9 years, on this past Valentines Day, February 14, 2013. They have two amazing beautiful loving children Kayleigh Marchelle Kantowski and John Kendall Kantowski.
He is survived by his wife Patricia Kay Kantowski their children Kayleigh Marchelle Kantowski and John Kendall Kantowski his mother Barbara Ann Davidson his brother Randall Scott Kantowski. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, and many cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father John Clinton Kantowski his grandparents John Kantowski, Jr. and Katie Mae Pipes Kantowski grandparents Archie Hardcastle Barrett and Dorothy Lucille Holub Barrett Aunt Linda Joyce Kantowski Nelson Uncle William Lawrence Barrett cousin Luther Melvin Bubba Weir and his stepfather Alexis Joseph AJ Davidson.
He was a loving and giving husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He enjoyed life to the fullest He was a true fisherman at heart, a private pilot when he could get the chance to fly a talented innovative craftsman of many different trades with designing, fabricating, and welding being one of his greater talents. He attended First Baptist Church of Friendswood and was a man that lived by faith.
He was a proud owner of his and Kays business, JW Hall, LLC and their charter business Gulf Runner Yacht Charters with him as captain of his vessels, the Hullraiser and the Boogy Man. He was a member of the Houston Big Game Fishing Club and AOPA Airline Association.
The family would like to give special thanks to their family, friends, and community for the overflowing love and support shown to them during this time.
