Joe Sonny Chambers, 71, of Texas City, passed from this life at Mainland Medical Center, Saturday, January 5, 2013.

Joe was born September 27, 1941 in Wharton, TX to parents Joe and Charlene Chambers. He spent many years in the retail business and finished his career at The Meridian. He would transport residents to their appointments and enjoyed making them laugh. Every trip was an event for them. What a way to finish your life, by giving purpose and meaning to their life as well as yours.

Survivors include his wife Jackie son Jonathan Starla daughter Cindy Flores Sammy and their children Ryan, Joseph, Tyler and Chad daughter Cathy Richardson and her children Ronnie, Ashley and Amber Special aunt Mary Lynn Nelson Dan Mother In Law Joyce Earl brother Eddie Chambers Jeauquitte sister Peggy Westbrook Billy brother in law Mike Earl Kathy and numerous nieces, nephews and other friends and relatives.

A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 19, 2013 with a visitation prior at 1:00 P.M., all at EmkenLinton Funeral Home in Texas City.
