JO ANN WILLIS

Jo Ann Willis, 79, of Texas City, passed away Monday, July 28, 2014, at her residence.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2014 at St. Johns United Methodist Church, 8200 25th Ave. North in Texas City. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 31, 2014, at EmkenLinton Funeral Home.

Mrs. Willis was born December 18, 1934 in Galveston, Texas. She was a Charter Member of St. Johns United Methodist Church. She was very active with the United Methodist Women and missions, and the Brown Bag Bunch. She was also Sunday School secretary and taught many Sunday School Classes for children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William J. Schreiber and Janie L. Schreiber her husband, Rudy C. Willis and three sisters.

Survivors include her sons, William R. Willis and Wayne C. Willis her daughter, Jan W. ONeal and husband Michael R. ONeal two grandsons, Jordan W. ONeal and Shane P. ONeal numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

The family wishes to give special thanks to LaTrina Butler with Visiting Angels for her care and companionship for the past six months.
