Jean L Traylor, 91, of Texas City, passed away Saturday, July 22, 2017, at her home in Texas City, Texas.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at Emken-Linton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forest Park East. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City.
Jean was born July 14, 1926 in Alma, Kansas. She retired as vice president and office manager for Traylor Refrigeration, Inc. after 28 years in Texas City. She loved to fish and hunt with her husband and grandchildren. Jean was quite the fisherman by catching a 40lb catfish all on her own, and only weighing a 100lbs herself.
Jean was very loved by everyone that knew her, she was always so caring, loving and always giving of herself to anyone in need. She will be greatly missed by her husband of 46 years, her children, grandchildren, family and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Bertha Falk; five brothers; two sisters; grandson Jason Jones (Peanut); great niece De Anna Mounts Dobbs.
Survivors include her husband James Traylor of Texas City; son and daughter in law Michael and Sherry Jones of Houston; daughter and son in law Denae and Lee Fountain of Palestine, TX; granddaughter Kimberly Jones of Houston; grandson Brendon Gaige and wife Amber of McKinney, TX; great grandson Asher Ace James Gaige; Three loving care providers Janet Garner, Caprice West and Brittany Jeasonne; her special friends A.J. and Linda Alexander, plus many family and friends.
Pallbearers are A.J. Alexander, Brendon Gaige, James Stevens, Bobby Connor, Nathan Mounts, Jody Brown; Honorary pallbearer Burt Mounts.
