James Skains

James Allen Skains, 57, of Alvin, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017.

Visitation will be held 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 2, 2017 with a memorial service beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City.

James Skains was born March 14, 1960 in Houston Texas. James was a Fireman for the Alvin Fire Department for 15 years and he was passionate about helping others. James loved his ex-wife, Theresa Lewis, even after the divorce they still did everything together. James only kid was his dog, Shorty and for 15 years anywhere James went Shorty followed.

Survivors include sisters, Rhonda Hughes and Karen Boroway; brothers, Jerry Skains, Woody Skains, Phillip Skains and Lee Skains; ex-wife, Theresa Lewis and his beloved dog, Shorty.
